For the second time in two meets, NV/Demarest senior Sydney Woods made history.
Woods broke her own Bergen County record in the girls pole vault when she cleared 12 feet 9 inches at the Spiked Shoe Invitational meet Dec. 17 at the Armory Track Center in New York, then became only the third girl in New Jersey history to clear a bar of more than 13 feet when she jumped 13-0¾, more than five inches higher than her previous best of 12-7.
