‘It’s on a slope’: Pole vaulter says downhill world champs track will produce big jumps

Budapest: The essence of sport might be a level playing field, but in Budapest there isn’t one. At the world athletics championships in Budapest, the athletes are running downhill.

At least that is according to Australia’s pole vault champion Nina Kennedy, who says jumpers are running down a slope across the top of the field.
