Jenn Suhr set a new meet record Saturday at the IAAF Diamond League Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, Oregon.
Suhr, 36, of Riga, cleared the 4.85-meter (15 feet, 11 inches) bar on her third attempt. New Zealand’s Eliza McCartney also jumped over the 4.85 bar but Suhr was named the winner because she had fewer misses at an earlier height. She was competing against a field of younger competitors.
