On February 11, Olympic gold medalist Katerina Stefanidi won first place in the pole vault competition at the NYRR Millrose Games at The Armory.

Stefanidi renewed her rivalry with Sandi Morris. Stefanidi won with a vault over 4.82 meters, thus setting a season’s best in the sport. The Greek Olympian cleared 4.82 meters on her first attempt, and even set the bar at 4.92 meters (which would have been a new personal best for Stefanidi), which she attempted three times with no success.
