Kathryn Tomczak Breaks Air Force Pole Vault Record

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Air Force sophomore Kathryn Tomczak broke the Academy’s five-year-old record in the pole vault this afternoon (March 25), as the track and field team concluded competition at the Aztec Invitational in San Diego. The Falcons made four improvements to the program’s all-time standings, while accounting for three first-place marks.

Tomczak won the pole vault with an outdoor-best clearance of 13’4” to win the 15-vaulter competition and add over two inches to the previous Academy record that had stood since 2012.
