Kathryn Tomczak Shatters Air Force Pole Vault Record

WACO, Texas – Air Force sophomore Kathryn Tomczak shattered her own Academy record in the pole vault on Saturday, April 22, as members of the Air Force track and field team wrapped up competition at the Michael Johnson Invitational in Waco, Texas. In all, the women accounted for four improvements to the program record book, while the men made two.

Tomczak added nearly six inches to her own Academy standard in the pole vault this afternoon at Clyde Hart Stadium, as she cleared 13’9¾” to finish third in the 24-vaulter event.
