Katie Moon takes Gold at Diamond League Championships

Katie Moon clinches the gold medal, securing her inaugural Diamond League championship, while Tina Sutej of Slovenia secures second place. Both Moon and Sutej successfully cleared 4.81m/15-9.25 on their initial attempts. Meanwhile, American Sand Morris and Finland’s Wilma Murto faced initial difficulties, missing their first tries and opting to move on to the next height.

Subsequently, the competition proceeded to a jump-off at the same height. Moon, demonstrating her prowess, cleanly cleared the bar on her initial attempt during the sudden-death round, while Sutej unfortunately faltered and missed her chance.

“The Diamond League trophy is one that evaded me for a while, so this was top of my list to win and I’m just so ecstatic that I could do it in Eugene, being a Nike athlete it’s just so special,” Moon said.
