WELLSBURG — Kennedi Lewellyn tied the school record in the pole vault and Madison Shepherd was runner-up in the 300 hurdles as the Buckhannon-Upshur girls placed fifth in the Class AAA, Region 1 track and field championships held Thursday at Brooke High School.
Lewellyn and her twin sister, Makenzi Lewellyn, Shepherd, Kaitlyn Luterek and Breanna Morgan all qualified in individual events for the Lady Bucs, along with the 4×200 and 4×400 relays.
