Naperville, Ill., May 17, 2017 – Senior Everett Kleven set a new pole vault record while placing second at the Gregory Invitational hosted by North Central College on Wednesday evening as senior Annie Marggraff posted a winning time in the 10,000m run.
Kleven reached a height of 5.18m (17 feet) to place second with the nation’s third best height. He previously set the standard at WashU by becoming the first Bear to exceed five meters in height with a mark of 5.12m at the UAA Championships.
Marggraff placed first in the 10,000m run with a time of 37:46.31. Her time of 36:17.20 during the WashU Invitational on March 31 ranks 25th in Division III this season.
