Lacy Harris is the lone T-Wolve in national meet

Lacy Harris always has jumped with the big girls.

As she soars higher, the Colorado State University-Pueblo sophomore finds herself in the company of the NCAA Division II pole vaulting elite.

Harris finds out Thursday how high she can go when she takes on the top D-II women vaulters on opening day of the NCAA’s small-college national outdoor track and field championships being held at the Neta & Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl.

Harris ranks 10th heading into the three-day competition, which will draw nearly 900 athletes and coaches from across the U.S. She secured her berth to the national meet with a 12-foot, 6-inch vault two weeks ago at the RMAC championships.
