Long Beach State track & field announces 2012-13 incoming class (pole vaulting)

LONG BEACH – Long Beach State track & field head coach Andy Sythe, who is entering his 24th year at the helm of the 49er program, has announced his incoming class for the 2012-13 season. The group includes 10 women and 19 men.

“This ranks among one of the best recruiting classes we have had since I started coaching here at Long Beach State,” Sythe said. “The quality of top individuals is equaled by the depth and breadth of this recruiting class. We have picked up talented individuals in all of our events and we are excited to start the new year with this exceptional group joining our track & field family.”

Pole Vaulting will be represented by Jodi Lambert, Fr. (Blue Valley Northwest HS)
Lambert was the runner-up in the pole vault at the 2012 Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) 6A Championships. She also had top-10 finishes at the state meet in 2010 and 2011. Lambert left Blue Valley Northwest High School as the Huskies’ record holder with a lifetime-best 11-06.
