Marrison picks South Dakota for school, athletics

GENEVA — After making the 14-hour drive back from the University of South Dakota, Deidra Marrison knew that’s where she wanted to continue her academic and athletic career.

The Geneva senior signed her letter of intent for the Division I school which competes in the Summit League on Wednesday. She will compete specifically in the pole vault.

“My coach (Bobby McQuoid of the Eagles) was the first one to tell me about the school,” Marrison said. “He told me they had a good pole vaulting program.”
