WHAT: The first “TrackTown Tuesday” ever held in Portland in conjunction with an Open House at the House of Track.
WHERE: The House of Track. A warehouse located at 2400 Northwest Front Avenue in Portland.
WHEN: Tuesday, Jan. 5. Media preview at 5:30 p.m. Doors open to the public for a social hour at 6 p.m. One-hour show begins at 7 p.m.
WHY: To unveil the new 200-meter banked oval track being assembled inside the House of Track, the same track that will be used for the 2016 USATF Indoor Championships (March 11-12) and 2016 IAAF World Indoor Championships (March 17-20) at the Oregon Convention Center; to provide information on the four indoor meets and weekly Nike+ Run Club Speed Runs to be held at the House of Track; to raise awareness of the 2016 USATF Indoor Championships and 2016 IAAF World Indoor Championships.
