Mesa student sets new pole vault record

A student at Red Mountain High School, 7301 E. Brown Road in Mesa, became the first female pole vaulter in school history to clear 12 feet at a competition. 

Tayler Jameson set the new school record May 14 at the 2014 Meet of Champions where she cleared 12 feet and 0.5 inches, according to a press release.
