Mineola’s Abby Kratzmeyer won a gold medal in the pole vault at the Down Under Championships in Australia.
Kratzmeyer, who will be a junior at Mineola High School, has won the Class 3A state title in the pole vault in each of her first two high school seasons. This past season, Kratzmeyer vaulted to a height of 12-6 at the state meet to earn her second consecutive gold medal.
