Mont Albert athlete wins praise for commitment to healthy lifestyle

A MONT Albert North man has been recognised for his commitment to a healthy, active lifestyle.

Readers of fitness magazine Men’s Health have chosen Cameron Sherry as the new face of nutrition brand Aussie Bodies.

The 34-year-old pole-vaulter, wakeboarder and snowboarder said he was “pretty stoked” to have won the Readers Choice award.

“I keep fit and eat well and look after myself and it’s good to get some sort of recognition for all the hard work I do,” Mr Sherry said.

“I like being fit and healthy and being outdoors, I love being out there with a bit of adventure.”

Mr Sherry, who trains at Box Hill Athletics Track, said he had a few tips and tricks for people wanting to reach their fitness goals.

“Be realistic, understand you don’t have to completely change your lifestyle,” he said.

“There’s always time to fit in some exercise or eat a healthy meal — just change a couple of things and you’ll see results.”

Aussie Bodies marketing manager Aimee Cutajar said Mr Sherry was a great role model for people wanting to improve their health.

He is featured in the February issues of Men’s Health and Women’s Health magazines.
