FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Sandi Morris won pole vault at the Penn Relays as the No. 9 Razorbacks began competition Thursday, in addition to running at the Drake Relays.
Morris won the event with a mark of 14-5.25, her third 14-foot clearance this season.
Danielle Nowell cleared 13-9.25 for a fifth-place finish, marking her second-best outdoor performance at Arkansas. Ariel Voskamp and Megan Zimlich both finished the day at 13-1.5. Tamara Myers represented Arkansas in the long jump, jumping 19-2 for a 10th-place finish.
In Des Moines, the Razorbacks wasted no time starting competition at the Drake Relays as Victoria Feole ran in the 800-meter with a time of 2:15.69. Later in the day, the 4×1600-meter relay team of Keri McClary, Regan Ward, Paige Johnston and Jessica Kamilos earned a third-place finish with a time of 19:18.16.
“The women ran great today considering they were running against some of the top competition in the nation,” said Head Coach Lance Harter. “Tomorrow is another opportunity to score and we’re excited to see those results.”
