ST. PAUL – Jackson Nesmoe was the first to admit it wasn’t his best meet. But the sophomore also has to admit he has a very bright future ahead of him.

Nesmoe was Tri-City United’s lone representative at the Class A Minnesota State Track and Field meet Friday at Hamline University in St. Paul. Though he was literally trying to raise the bar in the pole vault, Nesmoe came up short of his expectations, taking 15th at 11-06.

The week of practice leading up to state was a little bit different for Nesmoe, as he and coach John Hammerschmidt had TCU High School to themselves.
