Neither Haley Horvath nor Caroline Dannenbaum knew what they had accomplished until after the pole vault event had finished.
Both Horvath, a Notre Dame senior, and Dannenbaum, a Pingry sophomore, both believed they had cleared 12-9, a remarkable performance in itself. It wasn’t until the NJSIAA officials told both after the completion of the event that the two realized they cleared 13-0, a mark that hasn’t been cleared since 2004.
