FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State sprinter Brittany Page and pole vaulter Leslie Brost were named to the Capital One Academic All-District 6 team in Division I women’s track & field by a vote of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday, May 30.

A senior from Watertown, S.D., Page owns a 4.00 cumulative grade point average in exercise science. She is a member of four NDSU school record relay teams, including three that were set during the 2013 outdoor season. In all, Page has run on 19 relay teams that rank among the Bison all-time top 10 lists.

Page was a member of three Summit League title-winning relay teams in 2013, as well as earning all-league finishes in the indoor and outdoor 400m and top-five finishes in the 200m. She ranks seventh in NDSU history in the outdoor 200m and 400m dashes.

Brost will make her sixth NCAA Championships appearance on June 7 in Eugene, Ore. A four-time NCAA Indoor Championships qualifier and two-time NCAA Outdoor Championships qualifier in the pole vault, Brost has also taken home six Summit League titles in the event over the course of her career.

The senior from Watertown, S.D., won her fourth conference title in the pole vault on May 9, becoming just the third four-time event champion in Summit League history. She finished fourth at the 2012 NCAA Indoor Championships to earn first-team All-American honors.

An exercise science major, Brost owns a 3.78 grade point average.

As All-District honorees, both will advance to the national ballot for Capital One Academic All-America honors. Whitney Carlson is NDSU’s most recent Academic All-American in women’s track & field, earning first-team recognition in 2010 and 2011.

Page and Brost become the fifth and sixth women in NDSU’s Division I era to earn first-team Academic All-District honors.
