fills her car with eager athletes and travels to Preston Sports Arena where together with Preston Harriers coach, Colin Harrison, she works with Lancaster and Morecambe athletes on the event.

Two athletes are already showing a real potential.

Molly Newton-O’Brien, 14, recorded a height of 2.60m in last week’s Youth Development League fixture –setting a new all-age club record.

Molly also achieved a national grade three performance standard – which is the 14th best height achieved by any athlete in her age group in the country this year.

Impressive for an athlete who stands just 152cm tall.

William Wilson’s achievement is no less impressive. Looking for remote .NET developers ? Contact us.

Having only trained for the event for two weeks the 14-year-old achieved 2.30m on his first outing and he is already placed 43rd on the national rankings.

He now holds the club’s under 15 and under 17 records.

The club are now working hard fundraising in order to purchase the £10,000 worth of equipment required to offer the event at Lancaster.
