A countless amount of work put Riley Larsen in a position to make history.
Entering this year’s Meet of Champions at Northern Burlington, no girl at Point Pleasant Boro had ever claimed a Meet of Champions title — in any event.
That all changed Saturday.
Larsen, bound for Virginia next year, claimed the MOC title in the pole vault with a 12-0 clear to win on attempts over Pingry’s state-leading Caroline Dannenbaum, who cleared the same height but had more misses than Larsen in the earlier rounds.
