BLOOMINGTON — The nationally prominent Flying Dragons Pole Vault Club has scheduled an open house from 4:30 to 9 p.m. on Nov. 5 at its new facility, the former Eureka vacuum cleaner factory at 1201 Bell St., Bloomington.
Besides having two pole vault runways, the facility will also accommodate long jumpers, triple jumpers and high jumpers.
Club director Mike Cockerham said prospective pole vaulters as young as 9 can tour the facility and join the club, which will conduct its main registration from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
There is a yearly registration fee of $20 and multiple payment plans for facility usage including $150 per month or $25 per day.
