Preview: 2013 SEC: Vanderbilt: One vaulter on the roster

Vanderbilt only has Women’s Track and Field:

Alyson Hasty     Alyson Hasty– Senior, Brentwood Academy, Brentwood, Tennessee

Junior: Set a new personal best in the pole vault at the Vulcan Invitational 2/9/12, with a 3.55m mark.

Sophomore: Set an outdoor personal record at 3.36m in the pole vault at the Vanderbilt Invitational 4/22 … cleared the bar at the Austin Peay Spring Fling (3/25/11) at 3.35m in the pole vault, finishing second …Finished third in the pole vault at the Blue Raider Invitational (1/22/11), clearing the bar at 11’0″.

Freshman: Set an outdoor personal record at the Vanderbilt Black & Gold Invite 4/16/10 with a 100m mark of 14.00 …Setindoor personal best in the Kentucky Track & Field in the pole vault (3.25m).

High School: Local recruit with definite potential, as she is the reigning region and state champion in the pole vault for her junior and senior years… Part of a Brentwood Academy team that held the regional championship title from 2008-09 and finished as the state runner-up in 2009… Tennessee region record holder in the pole vault (11’3″), set her junior year… TN All-Midstate Team in 2008 and 2009. Academics: Hasty plans to major in Child Development in the Peabody College of Education and Human Development.

Personal: Alyson Margaret Hasty… Daughter of Alan and Alyssa Hasty… Only child… Born April 25, 1991… Named to the Headmaster’s List at Brentwood Academy, holding a 4.0 GPA for her four years of high school… Enjoys pole vaulting and reading… Was also a member of the gymnastics team at Brentwood Academy
