RADFORD FINISHES STRONG IN POLE VAULT AT BIG SOUTH CHAMPIONSHIPS

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Coming within two inches of the school record for the men’s pole vault, Josiah Brunson and Coy Seneff concluded the 2014 Big South Outdoor Track and Field Championships for Radford Monday on the campus of Winthrop University.

In addition to the men’s pole vault, the women’s pole vault and the men’s high jump were contested Monday due to wet conditions prohibiting competition Saturday when the events were originally scheduled.

Both Brunson and Seneff cleared the 13-09.25 mark on their third attempts to tie for second in the program’s Top 10. They added nearly six inches to their previous personal bests to tie for 12th in the event.

Radford hosts its only home meet of the year Friday and Saturday at Cupp Stadium. Admission is free and open to the public.
