On June 21, the “Prodigy” documentary on the life of teenage pole vaulter Armand “Mondo” Duplantis was released on FloFilms.
This 24-minute documentary feature really gives the viewers insights on the life of 17-year-old pole vaulter Mondo Duplantis, who has been setting world records in his age group since the young age of seven. This documentary takes us behind the scenes in his daily life, as he is coached by his father (veteran pole vaulter and former national record setter Greg Duplantis) and trained by his mother, Helena. It shows the trials and tribulations in his life of becoming the top in his sport, as well as the rigorous training needed, and disappointment that may be involved when things don’t always end up victorious. The commentary from his parents is very informative, and they allow the viewer to get to know Mondo on a more personal level.
