Des Moines – On June 24, reigning women’s outdoor pole vault champion Sandi Morris won the competition at the USA Track and Field Championships in Des Moines, Iowa.
Morris won after she cleared the bar at 4.80 meters in her first attempt. She also attempted a world leading mark at 4.94 meters once, but was unsuccessful. Katie Nageotte came in second place with a clearance of 4.70 meters. Jenn Suhr finished in third place with 4.60 meters.
