Pryde Yost saw something in Fremont Ross senior AnneMarie Moses.
Moses began to pole vault and ultimately soared all the way to Ohio State to continue her career.
“My swim coach was also my pole vault coach in the sixth-grade,” she said of Yost. “He saw I was athletic. I did acrobatics. He knew I’d have fun. Ever since that day, I’ve been loving it.”
Moses cleared a career-best 12-feet, 2-inches as a junior at the Marion Invitational. She later vaulted 11-6 at the Division I district meet to establish a stadium record at Findlay.
