The Rutgers pole vault squad is gearing up for an exciting spring season filled with high expectations and energy. Head Coach Carl Porambo is leading a talented group of vaulters who are putting Rutgers back on the map in the world of pole vaulting. Sophomore standout Chloe Timberg is currently leading the pack with the top mark in the NCAA women’s pole vault, a remarkable 4.50m/14’9″ which she achieved by winning the 2023 Texas Relays.
Coach Porambo has even higher expectations for Timberg, believing that she has what it takes to clear a 15′ foot bar, which would qualify her for the prestigious USA Track and Field Championships in July after the collegiate season comes to a close.
