Schultze vaults her way to another school record

For the fifth time this season, junior Martina Schultze pole-vaulted her way to another school record. At the 2013 Besigheimer Abendsportfest in Besigheim, Germany, Schultze hit the 14 feet, 9 inch (4.50 meter) mark to top her previous school record.

Schultze’s jump was good enough for a first-place finish and a spot in the record books for the best vault at Gustav-Siegle Stadium

As a sophomore this past year, the Uhingen, Germany native won both indoor and outdoor conference titles in the pole vault. Schultze earned first team All-America honors after finishing eighth at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, following a third-place indoor finish in the winter.
