NEW BRITAIN — Southington seniors Megan Biscoglio and Amanda Howe, the reigning Record-Journal Field Athletes of the Year, added to their resumes Wednesday with first-place performances at the CIAC Class LL Championship Meet at Veterans Stadium.
And so did another Southington senior better known for her basketball prowess: Janette Wadolowski.
Let’s start with Biscoglio. She not only won the Class LL pole vault championship at 12 feet, 1½. inches, she raised the bar on the meet record of 12-1 set by Newtown’s Jenna Calandro in 2014.
