Steve Lewis beats Paul Walker in the Mens Pole Vault

Steve Lewis – 5.55m: “That’s what I wanted to do today, I’ve already got the European qualifying standard so needed to just finish in the top two here so it is just a relief really. I’m competing in Lausanne and Paris (Diamond League) next weekend. It was tough in my last two events in Europe getting no heights but it is good to come and win because this is a world class event now in Britain with Luke Cutts and Max Eaves, and other guys jumping over 5.50. So it’s good to turn up at these events and get the win.”
