There are some changes on tap for the 2016 World Indoor Track & Field Championships

There are 99 days until the 2016 World Indoor Track & Field Championships, which will take place March 17-20 at the Oregon Convention Center.

Organizers took advantage of the milestone Wednesday with a media availability at the convention center.

Among the news:

The men’s and women’s pole vault competition, originally scheduled on March 17 in the Moda Center, has been moved to the 7,000-seat track & field facility that will be set up in the convention center. The pole vault still will take place on March 17.

The pole vault will be the only event contested that day. Fans can gain admission with a ticket to one of the other days of competition. Fans also can obtain free tickets.

There will be a number of 4×400 high school relays races contested during the main competition days.

NBC wlll televise at least some of the meet live.

There still are tickets available.
