NEW HAVEN — Maloney senior Hannah Cloutier made Spartans’ sports history Thursday afternoon.
With a victory in the pole vault at the CIAC Class L championship meet at the Floyd Little Athletic Center, Cloutier claimed Maloney’s first-ever state title in indoor track.
Cloutier went in as the top seed and made it stand up by hitting 9 feet and then 9 feet, 6 inches on her first two vaults.
