Ypsilanti, Mich. – Junior Sam Tollerud of Kent State’s women’s track and field program set a new school record in the pole vault as she jumped 4.20m (13′ 9.25″) at the EMU Triangular. As a team, the Golden Flashes totaled 98 points, finishing ahead of Central Michigan (78) but behind Eastern Michigan (115).
Along with setting the program record, Tollerud’s winning mark of 13′ 9.25″ is tied for eighth-best mark in the nation. Tollerud also owns Kent State’s outdoor pole vault record at 13′ 10″, which she set last year.
