Tomball Memorial junior pole vaulter wins Regionals, headed to state

It might have been only the first day of the Region III-4A Track and Field Championships at Bower Stadium in Huntsville, but there is already a Tomball Memorial Wildcat headed to State.

Junior pole vaulter Jacob Wooten, cleared 17 feet to win the boys pole vault event, surpassing two personal records to reach that height.

Wooten beat out Huntsville senior Audie Wyatt, who finished second with a height of 16′-6″, which was the first of two personal records for Wooten to surpass. for more
