Track & Field Feature: Porter’s Resilency

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Senior pole vaulter Tyler Porter sits on the cusp of the 2015 SEC Outdoor Track & Field Championships having traversed a rocky and seemingly unrelenting terrain in his pursuit of a single goal. Through it all, Porter has embodied the ideal of resiliency, facing each setback with an inspiring determination and work ethic.

Sami Kincaid of VFL Films documented Porter’s exciting and sometimes physically tumultuous career, as the Jefferson, Georgia, native has battled back from three different injuries that threatened to curb his participation in the sport he loves. Still receiving treatment for those injuries as he goes through his senior year, Porter has vaulted himself back into the national discussion as he enters this weekend’s SEC Championships ranked third in the conference and 12th in the nation.

Don’t miss Porter’s inspiring story, as presented by VFL Films.
