Chris Nilsen goes into the national meet with the top pole vault in the country this season. He’s gone over 19-feet five different times The 2017 NCAA Indoor National Champion is the favorite to win the title.
“I didn’t really know how this year was going to go cause there was some other things going on in my life, like I got married, had a baby, and I was just kind of focusing on those things, and i was like okay, let’s kind of shift focus from pole vault to family for a little bit there, and regardless of shifting of focus it turned into a really great year.” says Nilsen.
