USF to Host Pole Vault Instruction-Competition

TAMPA, DEC. 29, 2014 – USF will host a pole vault instruction-competition on Saturday, Jan. 17 from noon-4 p.m. at the USF Track and Field Stadium.

The instruction will be led by 16-year USF assistant coach Don Marsh. In his time with the Bulls, Marsh has coached six All-Americans, 16 conference champions and 41 regional qualifiers. Also coaching will be Bobby Haeck, the Director of Famous Pole Vault City, who coached many state champions the state record holder at 16-feet-8 inches.

The cost is $50 per pole vaulter and parents must be present to sign a waiver. For more information, contact Marsh at or 813-919-5116.

Led by ninth-year head coach Warren Bye, the USF track and field team has produced 20 All-Americans (seven men, 13 women) since 2000 and at least one All-American in six of the last seven years. USF is home to the 2018 NCAA Track and Field East Preliminary.
