Sommers set the national record for high school girls pole vault this spring
The Westlake High senior set the national girls pole vault record twice this spring, breaking the outdoor record by clearing 14 feet, 8.5 inches on April 3 at the Vaulter Magazine Championships before going even higher to break her own mark on May 26 with a height of 14-9 at the Marmonte League finals.
