With pets in tow, Olympic pole vaulter Sandi Morris returning to Greenville to train

On Saturday, Olympic pole vaulter and erstwhile zoologist Sandi Morris will pack up her Italian greyhounds Rango and Nim and barred parakeets Juniper and Indigo and embark on a 12-hour drive from Fayetteville, Arkansas, to Greenville.

Being an animal lover and responsible pet owner, Morris says she’ll split the trek over two days and pack a cooler full of food so she’ll interrupt her travel only for bathroom stops for herself and two high-strung canines.
