Woodsboro JH vaulter sets regional record

Woodsboro junior high student Bella Coscetti cleared 11-feet, 5-inches in the girls pole vault to set a USA Track & Field Region 12 record in the 13-14 year old age group at a meet in Humble on Wednesday.

The height is also believed to be the best vault in the nation in the girls 13-14 year old age group this season and among the top three in the world. According to the USA Track & Field website, the national record for girls pole vault in the 13-14 age group is 11-5.75 and was set in 2011 by Meagan Gray from Kyle.
