Wuest has been a four-year letter winner for the Pirates having won the 2013 Central Ozarks Conference Large School Pole Vault Champion and was a Class-4 All-State medalist in 2012 and 2013 at the Missouri State High School Activities Association State Championships in Jefferson City (MO). Wuest plans to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing while attending MSSU. Wuest stated, “I have been familiar with MOSO’s program, Coach Schiding and many of the Lion vault athletes for a number of years. There is incredible team unity at Southern and I anticipate competing on teams that will battle for MIAA conference titles and will place athletes in Nationals on a regular basis. This is a good fit for me to develop as a collegiate vaulter.”
