Young Adds NCAC Award to Record-Setting Effort

Trevor Young earned North Coast Athletic Conference Men’s Field Event Athlete of the Week honors for his record-setting result in the pole vault at Saturday’s DePauw Outdoor Track and Field Invitational.

Young cleared 4.90 meters (16 feet, 0.75 inches) to win the event at DePauw. His mark bettered the old Wabash record of 4.83 meters (15 feet, 10 inches) set by Matt Knox ’13 in 2013. Young’s mark is the best turned in by an NCAC athlete this season and ranks fourth among all NCAA DIII vaulters.
